Laptopzombies

Firstly i wanna say hello to the Metblog Berlin community. Finally i am able to blog. On one hand because i received my login data from Jay and on the other hand because i found a place with internet access in Mitte. Pretty hard these days. Once you find a place it’s either a T-com or AOL spot, which is not for free. After trying the St. Oberholz which got really crowded recently, I am now sitting at Galao with my powerbook on my lap. But what’s really frightening me is the view of people sitting in a row behind their laptops staring on the screens. Looks like the digital version of Shaun of the dead to me.
Does anyone know how i get access to the CCC Wlan spanned all over Mitte. So you can help me not to become one of them laptopzombies.Laptopzombies.JPG

I think the “CCC WLAN” is not really for Internet access, but part of a project about a bigger wireless network in Berlin.

    So did you mean this?

i gave up – ordered 2mbits at alice – they seem to be the cheapest provider with the best conditions. besides alice is powered by the italian telecom.

haha! i spend ALOT of time at st Oberholz, in berlin. other then providing good, free wifi, their sandwhiches are great and they have soja options for your coffee instead of milk… wll at least it matters for my lactose-intolerant self!

Whenever I read about it, I always wonder how soy/milk coffee tastes like. Is it “acceptable” or the same?

me, i really don’t like soy milk in my latte. allthough i love soy milk and tofu, but it just doesn’t feel right in a coffee. i also don’t like the coffee at st. oberholz – the ones at galao are much better. but the best coffe you get in berlin is at barcomis, either kreuzberg 61 or mitte.
