Due to popular demand, here are some infos about the upcoming parades in Berlin next year.

The B-Parade

The organizers of the Berlin Dance Parade (B-Parade) have officially registered the new event. The techno party will take place 10th June 2006, and will probably happen at a very well known location in and around Tiergarten.

According to the organizer, they hope for 500,000 techno addicts, they have already 20-some applications for trucks loaded with equipment to make noise and around 30 more will follow.

Planet pro Berlin

“Planet pro Berlin” (note: the website is terribly outdated) will happen roughly four weeks later, 8th July, 2006. In 2005, around 15,000 people came to Berlin to party to techno, house and dance music. Doesn’t sound much, and I don’t recall noticing it. Maybe I was out of town.

In anyway it looks like there will be a very “musical” summer – at least for you Techno people out there. Those two parties and the soccer championchips in 2006 in Germany, will make Berlin one busy place since everything will happen at almost the same time.

The original Love Parade seems dead. At least in Berlin. They have been selling of the party concept like a francise to other cities but have not posted any news about 2006 – maybe yet.
