sauna
Since we are back in Berlin time has been flying and I have not written one single entry in here … but have been working a lot in the new atelier, something I had not been able to do for much too long.
It is cold here, and cold weather is a good reason to go to the sauna …
something I did a lot during my first two years here in Berlin. I used to go to the tiny Finn Sauna in the Sredzistrasse, but that one is long gone, or, even more often, to Saunabad in the Rykestrasse in Prenzlauer Berg, but recently it is getting too crowded for my liking and some things annoy me there (like the showers). But, the saunas themselves are great, really hot, something I like and is hard to find. I tried other ones, the Gewölbesauna, even closer to where I live, the sauna in the Swimming pool in the Ernst-Thälmann-Park, the Kaminsauna on the Bornholmer Strasse, Spucki in Lichterfelde, the Thermen Sauna close to the Ku´damm (which I did not like at all), but somehow none of them was good enough to return more then once. Last Saturday we tried out a new one, on the Schönhauser Allee, close to Pfefferberg, called Olivin. I was a bit skeptical at first, as it seemed a bit too chic for my liking, but the interior really is beautifull, the little garden is nice, the service good, and the relaxing area fantastic … unfortunately the sauna itself, while beautifully made, is not hot enough for me … but I think I will go back there, at least once …
And i will try out this sauna in Hohenschönhausen, sounds and looks good …
