Holger hat mir gerade erzählt, dass sich er und ein Freund als Studenten des IEB (Institute of Electronic Business, der UdK) den “Blog-Teil” einer Kampagne für Unicef Deutschland erdacht haben.

Die Kampagne heisst, “Du gegen AIDS - Bloggen gegen AIDS”. Mehr Informationen (Texte, Banner, Buttons, Snippets) zur Kampagne findet man unter anderem hier. Viel tun muss man auch nicht, zum Beispiel die Petition unterschreiben und auch schon ein Trackback hilft.

Eine gute Sache, die es sich zu unterstützen lohnt.

Nicht nur Colin Powell benutzte Powerpoint, um den Weltsicherheitsrat zu
belügen und den Irakkrieg anzuzetteln. Auch Jürgen Klinsmann schickt
seine Strategieanweisungen an die Nationalmannschaft im Format
Powerpoint. Das Ausscheiden Deutschlands in der WM-Vorrunde scheint
damit besiegelt. Höchste Zeit, den Bullshit erneut auf die Spitze zu
treiben. Höchste Zeit für eine zweite Runde von PowerPoint-Karaoke. Nach
dem phänomenalen Erfolg der Weltpremiere im Januar warten nun 20
taufrisch aus dem Netz gefischte Powerpoint-Präsentationen von
“Anleitung zum Aalräuchern” bis “Zukunftsmarkt Zylinderstifte” auf
mutige Stegreifredner. Wieder wird eine unbestechliche Jury unter
Leitung des Supatopcheckerbunnys die Leistung beurteilen. Wieder winken
Wahnsinnspreise. Wieder wird es ein großer Abend werden.

Parking the car in Mitte, I spotted a sticker this morning, Vorrundenaus 2006. The Vorrunde is the “preliminary round”. All of this (of course) refers to the world championship soccer games, which Germany will host this summer.

And some people suggest that we won’t make it past the first round. But let’s hope not. ;-)

Heute hat mich jemand gefragt was diese CBS tags bedeuten, die man ueberall in Berlin findet. Ein kurzer Ausflug (ueber Google), verraet mehr. Und nachdem ich nur ein Photo (in noch dazu schrecklicher Qualität) auf meine Telefon hatte, habe ich bei Flickr mein neues “Lieblingscluster” entdeckt.

In a geeky outburst, someone set up a blog for Azeroth. And just in case you don’t know what Azeroth is - I had no idea either - it’s a part (?) of the World of Warcraft online universe. But enough plugs for virtual reality, let’s get back to “real life”. ;-)

As you can see I went to the Botanical gardens last weekend. For the first time. I was amazed at how beautiful the gardens were and at the lack of visitors. Sometimes I wonder whether the same “attraction” in a different city would be as empty as it is here.
The museum was a bit weird though. A mixture of very something very modern, efficient, well presented and something stuffy, old, from a different century.
