Walk of fan

Stefa and Nils are not the kind of people that take “no” as an answer. So they also ignored the “no” they received when applying for tickets for the Soccer World Cup.

As they also won’t rely on winning a ticket in one of the inflationary sweepstakes, they decided to take another route. To get the attention of some of the numerous sponsors and to speak up for the ordinary fan, they decided to walk from Berlin to Munich (being the host to the opening game of the World Cup). The plan is to arrived in time for the opening game, by that time hopefully with a ticket in their pocket.

Berlin to Munich are some 650 kilometers, they want to cover the distance in 30 days. Thats a half marathon per day. A trained person will run the half marathon in 90 to 120 minutes. But not 30 days in a row.

The walk of fan will start tomorrow in Berlins Mauerpark, the first leg will take them to the Olypmic Stadium. The two are still looking for participants in their march or accompanying activities. So go ahead and support them on their way to Munich.

More info can be found in their interview with the german magazine 11 Freunde, or on their website and blog.
