When I moved to Berlin back in ’89 I fell in love with this city inter alia because it was so lovely dirty. I don’t know what happened in the mean time maybe I just got old or maybe all this dirt increased to an almost unbearable amount. Don’t get me wrong I still don’t mind that everyday dirt in the streets or greasy, smeary Döner or Curry stands. I’m far away from being an hygienics apostle. But those people that aren’t able to clean up their dog’s shit or the remains from their barbecues in the parks always make me want to dump their noses in it. The way you do it with little kittens that shit in your flat. Maybe I should, no everybody should really do this to get those pigs housebroken. Sorry for that bad feelings against you fellow Berliners but every now and then I just get overwhelmed by ’em and have to let ’em out.
It’s so easy to take a little plastic bag with you and remove the dogshit. And by the way it ain’t neither a revolutionary act nor is it cool to leave it where your dog put it.

I hear you loud and clear. And what about dragging every little bit of shit to the curb?!? Or to the next tree? I´m now three years in B and will never get over the fact that almost everybody acts like he doesn´t have to give a shit about anything. Like, you have to watch the traffic lights very careful here: you can and will get killed even if you have green! As a Pedestrian or Bike-Rider, that is. They don´t care! As for me, I won´t get old in this City. As much as I like it. Some People here are just full of…..

well I moved from Friedrichshain to Bellevue for a year and a half just because of that.

Then moved to Prenzlauer Berg where everything is ok.. Sometimes I still see dog shit on the streets but not as much as in Fhain.

I mean … not every dog owner is a pig. I am one of the dog owner who picks after, you know what!

Why does dog owners have to do with the remains of BBQ in parks – nothing. Dog owner actually hate it! Makes dogs sick!

Der_Rex please the comment on the traffic light is pure BS! I mean have you been to NYC? Serious!

But you probably J-Walk all day long and you are suprised when you find yourself in the middle of a busy street. OOps!

I don’t understand the whole complaining anyways you all sound very german … complaint, complaint.

Sorry guys for my emotional feelings but every now and then I just get overwhelmed by ’em and have to let ’em out.

@der_rex: I have no idea how you made the experience that nobody cares for traffic lights in Berlin. Seriously if you think that Berlin is hectic and chaotic, you really don’t have been around much.. or maybe you just haven’t been in a city before.
