Smoke free
Earlier this year, the voluntary iniative Berlin Qualmfrei started and some clubs, bars and cafes jumped the bandwaggon and pronounced themselves a non-smoking zone.
Still sitting in office, SPD and PDS now plan to enforce a new law which prohibits or at least severly limits smoking in public places which includes all of the above - bars, restaurents, cafes.
Hospitals and administrative offices are already strict non-smoking zones.
