Art or not Art

Where do you draw the line between ‘real’ art and stuff that is just color on some medium. Gallery Blütenweiss lets the beholder judge for himself in their ‘Anonymous Drawings’ exhibitions.

Drawings by anonymous artists will be shown in the gallery on the scheduled evening; the exhibiting artists will remain anonymous until their work(s) are sold. Works will sell for a uniform price of 100 €. buyers will be informed of the artist’s identity upon purchase of his/her work. Exhibited drawings will be the work of both professional and non-professional artists.

    That’s a pretty cool idea. I guess art in general is very much up to your self, very subjective. After all people pissed on paintings and they were ‘gentled’ art. And so on.

    What’s always interesting is when people reserve the right to tell art apart from the so called non-sense. It’s just fun to watch hubris I guess.
