the bad news: 2006 was the warmest year in germany since 1901
the good news: new figures indicate that germany is both producing more renewable energy, production increased by 15.2 % last year, and consuming more renewable energy - renewables total share of energy consumed stands at 7.7%, up from 6.8% the year previous. this is also good news for germany’s plan to push it up to 85% by 2050…if global warming doesn’t kill us all before then!
