…or something, you will need to get a sticker for your car from January on if you plan on driving within the city limits. And along with Berlin other German metros (I believe Hamburg, Munich, …) follow.
I am not sure when this was discussed and voted upon, but somehow I missed it all and actually just heard about it last week, right before Christmas.
And since I haven’t had the time yet to get one, I am relieved to read that they won’t start the fining until February next year.
This is not brandnew but since I spent the day trying to catch up with my feedreader, I thought I’d share this goodie about the Berlin-based Modeselektor.

Hi Berlin! I’m Sean and I usually live in Los Angeles but I’ve been living in Vienna for the past month or so and just got into town this morning. I’ll be here though New Years, and starting tomorrow I’ll be at 24C3 as well. GRL Vienna is coming to town during this year’s Chaos Communication Congress. There are no fixed dates yet but of course it’s gonna be between the 27th and the 30th (2007). So make sure to watch their soup.

Starting tomorrow, the anual Chaos Communication Congress will be in town. I have no idea yet when I will make it, but if anyone is in town please comment or send me an email at klimpong’at’gmail’dot’com and let me know. I’ll be back in town from the 27th and I intend to go for a day, or a few hours.
Tickets are pretty cheap - I think it’s 80 EUR for the entire congress, but various discounts apply. A regular day pass is only 30 EUR, but there are hefty discounts (students, alg2, etc.) as well.
