2raumwohnung in concert for free

Due to the release of their new album “36grad”, 2raumwohnung are going to give a free concert (brought to us by O², yay) on February 2nd at 8 pm at Spindler&Klatt.

As it is free, as in “free”, I urge you to come real early (or send your boy/girlfriend in advance) and wait in the cold with probably hundreds of others, as (of course) only a limited number of people gets in. ;)

Tesja is wondering and working on her degree dissertation for psychology at Humboldt University of Berlin and needs our help:
If you live in Berlin for at least one year and are 20 years of age or older, she would be happy if you’d help and take the survey.

She promised to let us know about the results, and actually, I’m very eager to find out, if Berlin is a metropolis or not!

Bela B., mostly known as drummer of the band “Die Ärtzte”, but lately also working on solo projects, is giving a free concert this week.
As for usual at o2 music flash events, first who’s there gets in.

My Chemical Romance are in Berlin to give a free (and oh so secret) concert tonight at E-Werk.

The doors open at 8, but since it’s free, it might make sense to be there a bit earlier.

Berlin, illuminated

Next week, Berlin will look a bit different, at least at night.

Reason is the upcoming Festival of Lights, an event during which places and buildings throughout the city will be illuminated with hopefully some more ideas than putting mostly blue neon tubes everywhere (as seen last year).
Scedule is October 17th till 29th.

Sounds weird? It is.

Leroy cleans up is a Berlin-produced short film that deals with Nazis and prejudices against Germans and foreigners in an unusual and humorous way.

The movie was quite successful on short film festivals and on the internet.
A full-lenght version was shot this year and will probably air on ZDF next summer.

If you’re not that familiar with the German language, there is also a version with English subtitles.

Goodbye Kubik

At most locations the open-air season ends these days, so it does at Kubik, a low-cost outdoor club installation right by the water.

Their leaving party takes place on Saturday 16th (tomorrow) from 2 pm till sometime in the night or morning. If you haven’t seen this cool location, you probably missed something this summer (or you don’t care about electronic music at all).

Don’t miss Fritz Loveradio

I can certainly not say it often enough: The awesome Loveradio on radiostation Fritz is taking place again, after a one year break.

This means, if your music taste is just remotely related to good electronic music, you will have to tune in between today, July 14th 8pm and Sunday, July 16th 2 pm. You will get dj sets by well known djs like Paul van Dyk, Westbam, Woddy and lots more. Fritz is broadcasted on 102,6 FM in and around Berlin.

The bad news is: Unfortunately the Loveradio is no more a public event at Café Schoenbrunn, so there is no need to go to Volkspark Friedrichshain.
