self.detach

Check out self.detach – decomposing identities. It’s the design project of two UDK students. The objective is to work with identity/ego online. So what they did is read the photostream of Flickr and grab all pictures that are tagged with “me”, “myself” (and I), “moi” and the like, and then to dissolve them into colored particles. (Hope I got it right!)

They write that dissolving pictures into colors symbolizes the irrelevance of the digital self. Which sounds pretty Nihilist to me.
