German Reunification Day

When we were walking around in Mitte earlier today, watching all the people, the fair madness and easyness of life, it got me thinking about what I did in 1989. To be honest, I don’t know much about my entire childhood anymore. Then trying to remember dates is even harder. After all I was just a little more than seven years old in ’89, and all this alcohol and drugs in the meantime are not too supportive either.

1989, or maybe late 1989 are easy though! For example, I remember that I was sitting in the kitchen with my mom and dad eating dinner when they reported on the radio that the wall had been opened and that people were crossing from East into West Berlin.
